I was looking for an Accommodation in places like Obama and Tsuruga to enjoy Wakasa fugu. Many places didn’t have great Review ratings, so I was a bit worried, but I made a Reservation at “Shikisai no Yado Hanatsubaki” because it was highly rated. From the outside, it isn’t a new-looking place, but the inside was very clean, and it was quiet and relaxing—perhaps because it wasn’t too crowded. The Room we were shown to was a Japanese-style room, and I still remember how moved I felt by the view of Wakasa Bay from the window. We could enjoy the same view from the large public bath on the top floor. Dinner was a full fugu course as mentioned above—from appetizers to finishing rice porridge—and everything was delicious. The only disappointment was that although the staff carefully brought each dish, there was no explanation at all about what each dish was or how to eat it. Since many people from Tokyo don’t often eat fugu, we may not know much about it. If they had explained the dish names and how to enjoy them, I think we could have appreciated it even more. That said, we truly enjoyed the fugu and were very satisfied. Breakfast also featured local items such as dried flatfish, which were delicious as well. Overall, I thought it was a wonderful Ryokan. I would definitely like to return. Thank you for such a great memory.

It was our first time staying in a villa, and we had a wonderful time celebrating two birthdays. Since the front desk is unmanned, check-in took about 30 seconds and we headed straight to the Room. The nighttime illumination and the beautiful morning views were so soothing. We relaxed in the villa-only jacuzzi and were able to unwind completely. Next time, we’d like to stay in a condo and try the infinity pool. It was peaceful, and we’re glad we chose this lovely villa for such a special birthday. Thank you!

I chose this Hotel near the Imperial Palace for a trip to celebrate my birthday. My sightseeing plan focused mainly on the Imperial Palace area, Kanda-Jimbocho, and Ueno. It was a 2-night, 3-day trip. After checking the website and Reviews, I decided based on the view from the Room window, the breakfast buffet, and the location. When making my Reservation, I added comments about it being a special occasion and requested a good view from the window. On the day of arrival, I checked in around 4:00 PM feeling excited and nervous. The front desk was less crowded than expected, and everything went smoothly. Service The female staff member at reception had “In Training” on her name tag, but she was polite, clear, and so efficient that it didn’t feel like she was in training at all. Partway through, an experienced female staff member helped with the process and chatted with us about our anniversary and stay; she felt very approachable and left a great impression. When we were told “Top floor!”, my expectations rose even more. The male staff member at check-out was also sharp and professional. Room & Amenities Palace View Twin Room The Room felt a little small for luggage during a Multiple Night Stay, but the amenities were well stocked and I was satisfied overall. Above all—when I opened the curtains—the fresh greenery of the Imperial Palace grounds and moat came into view, with Shinjuku’s skyline in the distance. What an incredible location! On our first day we could even see Mt. Fuji far away—so lucky. Morning light, sunset, night views—everything was amazing. I’m glad I requested a good view. Bathroom 3-piece unit (toilet / sink / bathtub) Because the toilet is positioned right against the wall side, the toilet paper holder is very close to your body and slightly awkward to use. Dining We had breakfast buffet for one day—with an Imperial Palace view! It instantly lifted my mood in the morning!! Steak for breakfast—surprisingly delicious (my partner went back for thirds). Both steak and omelets were prepared at a live kitchen station; the chef had a wonderful smile and provided attentive service. If we’d had more room in our stomachs, we would have ordered another round—the food (and chef) were excellent! There was also plenty of variety across Japanese- and Western-style dishes; everything was satisfying. The salmon roe (ikura) and sashimi were especially tasty. There was also take-away coffee available at the entrance—a thoughtful touch that made me very happy. Access / Location Tips Takebashi Station Exit 3b connects directly to this Hotel; however if you have a suitcase, head to Exit 3a instead—take the escalator up, turn left, and you’ll reach it right away. For guests staying multiple nights or carrying lots of luggage، Exit 3a is recommended as it’s easier with bags。

It was great to be able to enjoy YouTube on the projector in a detached house without worrying about the surroundings. There was no outside noise, and we had a quiet and comfortable stay. The Facility were well equipped, including a BALMUDA electric kettle, and the large bathtub was spacious and very relaxing. There was an indoor bouldering area, which our child really enjoyed. The net laid underneath also looked comfortable. The tableware being stored in boxes was convenient, but it would be even easier to use if labels on the outside showed what each box contains. We also really appreciated the map and information about nearby restaurants. It might be even clearer if the restaurant introduction page listed each shop’s map number next to its name. One small note: the balcony railing feels obstructive to the view. Since the balcony is undoubtedly non-smoking, removing the fixed railing would allow guests to fully enjoy the stunning reverse Hakodate night view. Of course, even as it stands now, this is a wonderful Hotel.

Surrounded by tranquility, the Room features both an indoor bath and an open-air bath of an unprecedented size, providing a truly relaxing stay. The reclining chair by Karimoku is also exceptional. I look forward to visiting again in a different season.

We stayed on the Anniversary Plan, and I can’t fully put into words how enjoyable and memorable our stay was. We are truly grateful. The shuttle bus from Kyoto Station made access extremely convenient. We used the revolving observation restaurant “TOP OF KYOTO” for both dinner and breakfast. At dinner, we were delighted by your thoughtful touches—an anniversary photo, a single rose as a gift, a message on the dessert plate, and even a whole cake. Every dish featuring plenty of Kyoto vegetables was delicious, and we enjoyed a luxurious time watching the ever-changing views of Kyoto from the gently rotating dining room. The cityscape wrapped in soft morning light and the fantastical Kyoto floating in the sparkling night view—being able to enjoy both was especially memorable. The pool and sauna available as part of our 10th-floor Room benefits were also wonderful, and we were moved by how carefully your staff responded during a small unexpected incident. I’m not very confident at swimming, but this inspired me to join a swimming club so that next time I can return able to swim properly. After dinner, we had cocktails at the bar; everything—the interior design, lighting, atmosphere, and service—was comfortable, as if luxurious time for adults flowed by slowly. Wherever we were in the Hotel, we felt a sense of security and elegance—and above all, your staff’s politeness and warmth. It truly felt like a first-class Hotel. Thank you very much for making our special day such an amazing memory. We would love to stay again.
