Natural Hot Spring Sekiyama no Yu Super Hotel Joetsu Myoko Station West Exit

I have stayed here many times. The clean facilities, pleasant Onsen, and satisfying breakfast are all very good. However, that was something I could say because the room rates used to be affordable. Perhaps due to recent inflation, the rates have increased significantly compared with before. In the past, weekends and holidays were not much different, but now they feel much more expensive. During Golden Week and Silver Week in particular, the rates are considerably higher than those of a neighboring Hotel. Since there used to be little difference, I chose Super Hotel without hesitation, but next time I may have to think twice. I hope that once inflation settles down, the pricing will return to what it was before.

I stayed for two nights. The Room key is a keypad code system with no physical key/card. Since it was a weekday, it may have been less busy, but I couldn’t hear any noise from nearby Rooms—it was very quiet. Both the Hotel and the Room were very clean, and I had a comfortable stay. As I was here for a snowboarding trip, there weren’t many places to hang hangers for drying gear, which was a bit inconvenient. I used the large public bath morning and night; because it was a weekday stay and there were few guests, it was always kept very clean. The hair dryer in the large public bath was a SALONIA, which was also comfortable to use. There are multiple washing stations, but since the bathtub area is small, I think it can accommodate about 4–5 people at most. Breakfast offered both Japanese and Western options, and the freshly baked bread was delicious. I was very happy to have this breakfast included in the Accommodation rate. One thing: there was no hand soap at the sink in the Room, so I washed my hands with the provided body soap—I would have liked hand soap to be available.
