The building seemed a bit old, but it was well cleaned and felt very tidy and comfortable. I stayed for one night and two days. On the first day, I used the adjacent Agannasse baths. The variety of cold-water baths was great, and there was also complimentary coffee. The next morning, I used the large public bath before departure, which was also very nice. I only had the breakfast buffet, but there was a wide selection and everything was delicious.

A conveniently located Accommodation just about three hours from Matsuyama. May 10th was perfectly clear—ideal for touring. I’d been meaning to visit for decades, but because it was so close, time just kept passing until I finally made the trip. Dinner was far more than one person could finish. There wasn’t any meat, but there was an impressive variety of seafood that made me very happy. I ate quietly and steadily for 1 hour and 15 minutes and finished everything—then I couldn’t move for a while. The bath also felt like a private reservation, and I soaked slowly and leisurely, almost dozing off. Breakfast was also plentiful once again. Both dinner and breakfast were very satisfying. (For reference, I’m 66 years old.) At checkout, I had a nice chat with the hostess, and in the parking lot I was able to speak with her husband as well. Their calm way of talking truly soothed me. Before leaving, I promised to come back again next year. Another beautiful clear day today too.

We decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary with crab, so we made a Reservation at the last minute. When we arrived, the proprietress welcomed us with a warm smile, and after check-in at the front desk, she kindly showed us to our Room. The building itself has a sense of history, and there are stairs and steps throughout, so it may be a bit challenging for guests with mobility issues. The Room isn’t large, but it was spotless, and thoughtful touches—like a heated carpet laid over the tatami—made it feel especially comfortable. After changing into yukata, we headed straight to the Onsen. We started with the large public bath only; even the baskets in the changing area were lovely and lifted our spirits. Once inside, we were impressed by the very high ceiling and stylish design—stained-glass doors and an elegant layout that created a wonderfully open atmosphere. Then came dinner—the highlight we’d been looking forward to. First was a refreshing sudachi aperitif that was delicious. The sashimi starter featured sweet shrimp that were wonderfully plump, and the firefly squid dressed with vinegared miso was surprisingly tender—the gentle flavor of the miso dressing was perfect. I’m not enough of a crab connoisseur to confidently tell all the differences (like tagged crab), but since it was a special occasion, we chose a Plan that included Taiza crab sashimi—and it had an incredible melt-in-your-mouth sweetness... We could enjoy it not only with crab vinegar but also with sudachi or salt—truly outstanding! That alone almost would have satisfied us—but this is where things really began: fragrant grilled crab; a rich yet clean-tasting Taiza crab miso soup; then crab hot pot followed by rice porridge; dessert of crab ice cream; and even chocolate mousse to celebrate our anniversary. It’s frustrating that all I can say is “delicious,” because everything really was. After dinner, we relaxed in the private bath we had reserved without worrying about anyone else around us, changed into pajamas (a very welcome touch!), and drifted off completely satisfied... The next morning we visited the bath with an open-air tub. This outdoor bath also had an ocean view and felt wonderful—we soaked slowly and enjoyed every moment. Breakfast was classic Japanese style—simple but delicious... It was my first time trying heshiko, and it was so good that I even used the discount voucher on our way out to buy some. They saw us off with warm smiles until the very end, making this an incredibly satisfying wedding anniversary trip. Thank you very much!

It was my first time staying in Hagi, and I was moved by the wonderful scenery that truly lives up to the name “Hagi Hakkei.” I asked to change dinner from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. so I could watch the sunset from my Room, and I was able to take my time enjoying the sun slowly sink

The Room was very clean, and it also had an iron and ironing board, so I could iron my shirts. It was a very kind Hotel. About a 5-minute drive from the airport, and close to the highway as well, so it was very convenient! I would like to stay again next time.

The meals are all delicious and beautifully presented. The winter menu's sautéed cod milt was delightful. The chef seems to put great care into the sauces, crafting flavors that complement the ingredients perfectly. The Room is warm with underfloor heating and has a lovely atmosphere, allowing for a relaxing stay. The autumn leaves in the garden were stunning, making me forget about the cold as I admired them. Next time, I would love to stay during a season when I can enjoy breakfast outdoors.

Despite the rain, we were able to enjoy the barbecue without any issues. Thanks to the rain, it was a bit cooler, allowing us to relax and have a great time. The Plan included rock oysters, and each person received two! The rock oysters were incredibly delicious! The barbecue had an abundance of seafood, meat, vegetables, and even rice balls—so much that we couldn't finish it all! We made wonderful summer memories. Thank you very much!

This is my second stay, and I truly appreciate your thoughtful hospitality as always. I look forward to staying here again.

checkout time was also very convenient, allowing me to relax as intended during my stay here. With breathtaking views of Seto Ohashi Bridge and surrounding islands changing from morning to afternoon to evening right before our eyes, it was truly healing. I will definitely visit

I’ve stayed here several times during the canola flower season, and this time again we were able to relax in the cottage with our dog. Our dog looked like they were having a great time playing in the dog run. I always look forward to the meals, and everything was truly delicious again this time. We finished with a huge serving of espresso coffee ice cream, and the whole family was very satisfied. We’d love to stay again while our dog is still doing well!! Thank you very much.

Although I had booked a lower-floor (basement) Plan, they upgraded me to the second floor. The Room was clean and spacious, and I was satisfied with the view. The dining area was not crowded, so I could enjoy my meal in a relaxed atmosphere. The selection is simple, but considering the price, it felt reasonable.

We apologize for any concern caused by traveling with an elderly person, and we truly appreciate all your thoughtful support. In particular, the female staff member was very kind—accompanying us on the stairs and preparing a thin cushion for the dining chair, which we greatly appreciated. Thank you as well for keeping the dried fish we purchased in your freezer. The Room was spacious, and the meals were delicious. If I had to mention one thing, it would have been nice to have something like a slatted mat or a small area in the large bathroom where we could change without getting our feet wet. We would love to visit again.

We were able to relax in a retro yet well-kept Room. The main meal, especially the tuna, was truly outstanding, and everything—from the delicious dishes and local sake to the freshly cooked rice—was wonderful, allowing us to enjoy a lovely time. It was incredibly soothing. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

We revisited with the much-anticipated Sushi Plan that we decided to try after being impressed by the view from the room last time! The cuisine exceeded our expectations—luxurious and delicious, it was absolutely worth it. While preparing meals ourselves is fun, enjoying professional flavors in a private space is truly exceptional. Once again, it was just the two of us staying, so the room felt incredibly spacious (laughs), but every corner was impeccably clean and exuded a sense of freshness. With this level of cleanliness, I’m sure even large family trips or group visits would be enjoyable for everyone. This was our second time using the unmanned check-in system, and it went smoothly. We had such a relaxing stay again! Next time, we’d love to bring along more people for an even bigger gathering!

I was looking for an Accommodation in places like Obama and Tsuruga to enjoy Wakasa fugu. Many places didn’t have great Review ratings, so I was a bit worried, but I made a Reservation at “Shikisai no Yado Hanatsubaki” because it was highly rated. From the outside, it isn’t a new-looking place, but the inside was very clean, and it was quiet and relaxing—perhaps because it wasn’t too crowded. The Room we were shown to was a Japanese-style room, and I still remember how moved I felt by the view of Wakasa Bay from the window. We could enjoy the same view from the large public bath on the top floor. Dinner was a full fugu course as mentioned above—from appetizers to finishing rice porridge—and everything was delicious. The only disappointment was that although the staff carefully brought each dish, there was no explanation at all about what each dish was or how to eat it. Since many people from Tokyo don’t often eat fugu, we may not know much about it. If they had explained the dish names and how to enjoy them, I think we could have appreciated it even more. That said, we truly enjoyed the fugu and were very satisfied. Breakfast also featured local items such as dried flatfish, which were delicious as well. Overall, I thought it was a wonderful Ryokan. I would definitely like to return. Thank you for such a great memory.

In spring, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom around the Accommodation and at the Kurushima Kaikyo Observatory, making it truly beautiful. From the Japanese-style Room, the large windows were wonderful—you could even enjoy an ocean view while lying on the futon—and the Room amenities and equipment showed thoughtful attention to detail. Needless to say, the food was outstanding! All of the staff were kind and very pleasant, too. Next time—whether for a celebration, an anniversary, or simply to refresh—I want to find any excuse to stay here again.

Conveniently located next to the live music venue, which was perfect. My Reservation was for a single, but they upgraded me to a double Room. The Room wasn’t especially large, but it was clean, well organized with everything I needed, and laid out in a very user-friendly way. Breakfast was also delicious. All of the staff were kind and helpful. As for one request, I would have liked a bit more light when doing my makeup. If the lighting by the bathroom mirror were brighter, it would have been even better. Overall, I was very satisfied. Thank you very much.

I have stayed here several times before, but this time I stayed for two nights with No Meals Included to take astrophotography. The sea-facing side faces west, and by setting up a smart telescope on the balcony, you can capture celestial objects from south to north-northwest. W

We stayed here with a large group in January. First of all, the traditional kura-style building is truly one of a kind. It has been beautifully renovated to suit modern needs while preserving the charm of classic Japanese architecture. It’s even more impressive in person than in photos, and you can really enjoy the building itself—perfect for anyone who loves architecture. The living room feels incredibly open, and even with a big group it never felt cramped. The kitchen was surprisingly spacious, and it was stocked with more than enough cookware and appliances. There was also a great variety of tableware, all stylish, which made cooking even more enjoyable. The dishwasher in particular was large and high-performance, making cleanup easy even for a big group. There are multiple bedrooms as well, so everyone can rest comfortably. This Accommodation is ideal for the purpose of “staying together as a large group and relaxing.” Overall it’s very spacious, so we could spend time there without feeling self-conscious. We only ordered breakfast, but it was simple Japanese food and very delicious. For lunch and dinner we arranged our own meals—buying ingredients at nearby supermarkets (Tsuruya and AEON are conveniently close) and cooking ourselves—and that became part of the fun of the stay. With such well-equipped facilities, this place is especially recommended for those who enjoy cooking. Even though it was cold around New Year’s, the inside was warm and comfortable. The separate hinoki bathhouse was amazing; you heat the indoor bath yourself, but the scent of hinoki wood and the atmosphere were truly relaxing. There is also another bath in the main house (with a modern tub), which you can use as well—and we appreciated the thoughtful touch of underfloor heating in the changing area there. We were highly satisfied with everything—the space, facilities, and overall atmosphere—and would love to visit again in a different season.

Our family stayed in Shimizu for two nights. Needless to say, the Accommodation building itself was wonderful, but the atmosphere of the entire surrounding village was just as charming. Even before our stay, we started with a hands-on sweets-making experience using agar, and after check-out we wrapped up with a tour of Irisen’s agar factory. Our children loved agar so much that even after returning home from our trip, they’ve been enjoying making desserts every week with the dried agar we bought there. The local regional cuisine we ordered through catering was also delicious, and it was a real treat to enjoy dishes freshly prepared in the kitchen from early morning. It’s a place we’d love to visit again in another season.
